can the iGO8 TTS engine be used for TXT DOC or eBooks?

This is a question and an application request.

I searched and searched here for a free TTS ebook readers and only came up with 2 useful solutions, the DigitalFuture TextSpeech Pro for $50, or the free FLITE from this old thread:

TTS has come a long ways, but the free Flite sounds like a 1980's voice. Either I did not use the right keywords to search here, or there are really no viable free options, so here's my request:

Is there a simple way to use the excellent igo8 TTS engines (~40-80MB per voice) to read TXTs or DOCs ? If not igo8, are there any free useful TTS engines that can be used just to read text?
