unique-ish issue with samsung vibrant

I have been messing around with my phone.
Bottom-line, there are no files on the internal sd.
Therefore, you cannot boot into anything. It stays on the Vibrant splash.

I can get into download mode, however the phone will not load into the computer. So ODIN will not be helpful, unless I can get it to see it. My CWM does not open up anymore, for some reason.. I am not sure of.
It seems I am at a loss here.

A little more information:
Computer: running ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat
Phone: Samsung Vibrant Galaxy S
filesystem on the phone, fat32

The only way I can see this working is if I completely erase the phone, boot and all, and reinstalled whatever I wanted to put on it. Any suggestions towards this?

I was trying to install iOS onto this phone. So I have backed everything up onto my laptop. Don't have time right now to continue working on this project due to work starting on thursday.

Just want to get back to somewhat normal right now.
